Welcome to Buffalo Elementary, the proud home of the Buffalo Bisons!

Buffalo Elementary serves students in head start through fourth grade. Our principal is Mrs. Penny Mullins. Buffalo Elementary is one of eleven schools in the Logan County School District. Logan County is located in the southern coalfields of West Virginia. An hour south of the capital city of Charleston, the county is home to three primary municipalities: Chapmanville, Logan, and Man.

Our vision is a community where everyone feels loved, respected, and encouraged to develop to their fullest potential. We strive to create well rounded, confident, and responsible leaders who desire being the best version of themselves. Our students’ love for learning is fostered by encouraging them to try new and exciting things, while giving them a solid foundation to build on. We do this while providing a welcoming, safe, and supportive learning environment in which everyone is equal, and all achievements are celebrated.
